Why your mogra is not flowering and growing?

Why my Mogra plant is not flowering and growing?

Due to several factors your mogra plant is not growing or flowering. Following are the possible reason and remedies:

  1. Lack of Sunlight: Mogra needs at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. If it’s in a shady spot, move it to a sunnier location.

  2. Improper Watering: Ensure consistent moisture in summer.Overwatering leads to root rot and stunted growth. Underwatering cause slow growth and fewer blooms.

  3. Poor Drainage: Mogra prefers well-drained soil. Ensure drainage holes if grown in a pot.

  4. Lack of Nutrients: Nitrogen deficiency can stunt growth. Mogra needs slightly acidic well feed soil. During the growing season that is spring and summer, apply liquid fertilizer like seaweed or vermicompost tea every 15 days.

  5. Pruning Issues: Lack of pruning leads to weak growth. Trim dead or weak branches after flowering or early spring to encourage bushy growth.

  6. Pot Size: Small pot can restrict root growth. If the plant looks root-bound, repot into a slightly larger container or pot.

  7. Pest or Disease Attack: Check for aphids, mealybugs, spider mites they can weaken the plant. Spray neem oil weekly to restrict their growth. Ensure good airflow.
